Strong BO Pleases Studio

February 24, 2009

Last week was a good one for Miracle Pictures at the box office.  Kris Greet’s adaptation of Syphon Filter brought in a very respectable $66,518,088 for its initial week and Lucian’s Peaches and Cream returned $53,391,852 for its third week.  I have no doubt that both films will go on to great success.  PNC should end up being the top romance genre of all time in HTG.  Grand Theft Dog, (Best Picture) Obsession and Five Came Back are still in theatres.  Five MP movies out at the same time doesn’t happen a lot! :D

With Yet Another Conversation About Mark in release, it will see how the next totals turn out.  It’s an exciting time for the studio!

Quick as Always :)

February 21, 2009

Week one for Kris Greet’s action film Syphon Filter has passed.  Mark 3 has opened and Uncle Artie is slated for the end of March.  As for other films, it’s a matter of waiting to see how things develop.  The studio does have one finished script from a producer that will be pegged for a date sometime soon… have to figure out a couple things.  Look for that announcement soon.

Various Films Mark Studio’s Time

February 15, 2009

The studio continues to work with a lot of films.  Not since the second half of 2007 have we been associated with so many projects.

Syphon Filter is in theatres now.  Kris Greet’s adaptation of the video game surpasses other game movies, thanks to some planning and editing over the last month.  A dynamite poster by RS Creative doesn’t hurt, either.

Next week is Yet Another Conversation About Mark.  Arriving in the city to give his blessing for the third film in the series, we hope not to disappoint him.  Returning to work with Miracle Pictures on another film, the duo of George Clooney and Vin Diesel break away from their Brian/Bryan roles to portray two men of intrigue who also possess knowledge of the movie’s title subject.  Accompanying them are Amanda Tapping and Elle Fanning.  The frequent hot tub guests of the producer are returning from the second film in the series (although not named until this new one).

The Hollywood Times has posted the first teaser for Marlowe’s next project, Uncle Artie’s True Tales of American History.  Starring Will Ferrell, Abigail Breslin, John C. Reilly and Cate Blanchett, the movie is directed by Harold Ramis.  It’s a mixture of live action and animated scenes, but only one at a time–No Roger Rabbit style mixture.  Flip Brothers Studio has been generous to rent us their animation facility.

Miracle Pictures is reviewing its option for a film by Best New Producer winner Goose.  We’re still in the early stages on this one, but it looks like the timing might be right for a prompt release.

Thejd’s Berlin noir project March Violets is going along splendidly.  Dailies have been superb.  We know that movie goers will enjoy this one.

As mentioned earlier, Pedro of Baseball Mogul Productions has withdrawn from participation in an upcoming horror spoof project.  We are sad to hear of this, but are sure that Miracle Pictures and Pedro will hook up again in the future.

The proposed Monty Python film by a producer has not been discussed for many weeks.  Perhaps it will take some time, just like Syphon Filter.  Ha.

To wrap these notes up, Miracle Pictures is thrilled that Lucian’s Peaches and Cream topped $50 million on opening week.  We’re sure that the romance film will be a record breaker.

More Quick Notes

February 12, 2009

At last, the first full ad for the February 20 film has been unleashed upon the message board.  One citizen stated that this was not the movie I described earlier.  Actually, it’s some of both.  More ads to come.

Syphon Filter opens on Friday!  Expect the final release ad soon.

Big Day for Studio Release

February 8, 2009

Miracle Pictures is thrilled that JGraham’s Obsession earned a hefty 6 Yodas at the latest HTG Awards.  We gave JG as much leeway as we could with the film, from production to marketing.  And it paid off!  For those folks who have not enjoyed Obsession yet, we hope that they do so soon.  Congrats, JG, for the rewards for your hard work.

Quick Notes

There we go, the studio has placed a cast intro ad on the HTG message board for the Feburary 20 film.  Expect more soon.

It saddens the studio that Pedro of Baseball Mogul has withdrawn a submission to us after months of Miracle Pictures not finding a suitable place on the release calendar for the film.  We wish Pedro the best in his future endeavors and hope to work with him soon.

Positive word so far on the Syphon Filter buzz.  The action-packed film will surprise many, we’re sure.

One Film Finishes First Week, Two More to Come

February 6, 2009

The week has sped by.  Peaches and Cream has finished its initial days and looks to be a success.  Miracle Pictures believes that it has a hit.  We’ll find out soon.

Syphon Filter, the long awaited video game adaptation by Kris Greet, opens next week.  The advertising has been easy going so far.  Reactions during the weekend will dictate how we will proceed.  The film is action packed and is sure to please movie goers.

And what of the enigmatic Marlowe comedy to follow the week after?  Miracle Pictures is keeping a very tight lid on the project, but has released a flyer to introduce the HTG citizens of what’s to come.

"Patience," remarked MP chief Marlowe.  "Patience."
