Miracle Pictures

Peaches and Cream, Lucian’s somewhat risque romance, has finally opened.  Positive reviews comment the dialogue.  The studio is anxious to hear more feedback concerning our second collaberation with the Ship of Fooles honcho.

A mention in The Times (link in article below) makes use of a teaser for the upcoming comedy from Marlowe.  There has been no word yet on the plot of the film, other than hints provided on the teaser.  Being a dog person more than a cat person, what use for a feline on the artwork could Marlowe have?  More shall be revealed before too long.

Box office for the first two weeks of Grand Theft Dog was posted a couple days ago… $74 million.  Not bad, considering there was little available for the advertising budget.  Thank goodness Pedro has a production office.   We’re looking for some fair legs for the first seven weeks.  It’s already turned a profit, so victory there.  Who knows… We may be seeing Grand Theft Dog 2 before too long.

Studio execs are happy with the mention in a recent article in The Hollywood Times concerning both the studio and the production end of Miracle Pictures.  (It should be noted that it’s the studio, not the production company, that has released the top 5 comedies in HTG.)

Peaches and Cream has entered buzz!

Research and development on the biggest top secret project in Miracle Pictures history is under way, thanks to some information provided by the city.  The topic of the project will not be revealed until some time in the future.

Lots going on at the studio lot.  Peaches and Cream enters buzz this weekend.  Producer Lucian is getting some pre-screeners assembled for what has to be one of the most adult flicks seen in HTG Hollywood.  Nothing terribly bad, of course, but there are some adult scenes.

We’ve scheduled two films in Feburary… Kris Greet’s Syphon Filter on the 13th and the mysterious Marlowe comedy on the 20th.  More ads for SF soon and details on the comedy will come before long.

We’re reviewing a couple other films for release when they are ready.  It should be a full winter and spring for the studio.

And, much to our pleasure, Marlowe has finished another script!  As discussed on HTG Chat, this new film is a mixture of live scenes and animated scenes.  Will Ferrell and Abigail Breslin are the primary talents.  Keep an eye out for more on that as March approaches.

There’s always something going on with Miracle Pictures, but not really a lot of anything new to report.

The previously mentioned special info is still being worked out.  We’re hoping that everything gets straightened out soon.  The final result will be something exciting for HTG Hollywood.

The first trailer for Syphon Filter is out.  Expect a new one for Peaches and Cream soon, especially since it’s the studio’s next release.

We’re in discussions with a couple producers about bringing their products to MP.  More on that as it develops.

The first week of Grand Theft Dog went well, I think.  I’m anxious to see what the initial receipts will be.

Late last fall we mentioned a big project for the studio… not a film, but something for the lot/city as well.  Thanks to a number of sources, we have a closer idea on what it will take to make that big project come to fruition.  We at the studio are thrilled that it might actually happen!  Although it remains a secret at this time, we know that it will bring a lot of excitement to MP and HTG Hollywood.

Preparations for the first ads for Syphon Filter are under way.  After a couple years of waiting, it’s the studio’s goal to make everything about this film worthwhile.  A teaser is planned by the end of the week.  Then we can get started with more solid previews.

The exact date in February has not been determined.  The studio will be releasing the unannounced comedy during that month as well, so the proper balance must be figured out.  Most likely the "hot date" of the month will be getting SF.

January is under way.  The studio has done some pushing on its January 9 release, Grand Theft Dog.  But we also have a second movie coming out this month… Lucian’s Peaches & Cream.  It’s not going to be the easiest film to advertise… There’s a lot of sex compared to other HTG movies.  But it’s intelligently written, so we hope that will carry the adult theme.

Lucian worked with Miracle Pictures some time ago with the short crime film Square Deal.  It was more than a fair success.  We are confident that P&C will be, too.  And we hope to work with Lucian again in the future.
